What Is HEMI Lifter Failure?

 Hydraulic lifters are small but critical components inside the engine's valvetrain.

Their job is to maintain proper valve clearance while transferring the camshaft's motion to the pushrods and rocker arms.

When a lifter begins to wear internally or loses proper lubrication, its roller bearing may seize or collapse. Instead of rolling smoothly across the camshaft lobe, it starts grinding against it.
